Replacement of the Glen Long Hockey Arena slab and refrigeration system. Work involved demolition of the existing slab and in-ground refrigeration system, followed by new header trench, precise grading, insulation, new piping, new refrigeration system, and a new one-pour slab with floating form for curb. Preparation for future dasher boards was done by the City under a separate contract. Refrigeration was performed by Cimco and slab by Tri-Con. Grading tolerance was 3/8" over the 1,800 sq. ft. slab and the finished slab measured only ¼" variance over the whole ice rink.
